Rose Coat

Rose Coat is made from 100% organic cotton canvas and lined with striped cotton. It features a classic collar, bone-look buttons, and a belt with fixed belt loops at the waist. The coat has classic sleeves and is decorated all over with Suzani embroidery featuring flowers, hearts, and horses.

This Suzani embroidered item is decorated with the manually controlled chain stitch technique of Suzani embroidery. Our Suzani embroidery is made by Indian artisans, mostly using the tambour to create a unique and vivid Suzani embroidery pattern. The name “Suzani” comes from the Persian word su-zan, meaning needle. The Indian artisans use a hooked needle instrument called a tambour to create the intricate chain stitching that is the hallmark of Suzani embroidery. Due to the manually controlled nature of Suzani embroidery, you may notice little variations from one garment to another that add to the unique charm of a Suzani decorated item.
